​What is a footer fee?

​A footer fee is what some cemetery charge before they allow a monument to be set. Different cemeteries have different rules and fees. Not all cemeteries have a fee so talk to the sexton/official of the cemetery or fell free to call us and ask. (270)629-3700

​Is adding the date of death included in the monument sale?

​No, we are unable to offer the early sale for passing date. However, we do have the ability to provided the services once the person has passed away.
Talk to the funeral home whom you have pre-planned the funeral. Simply mention  you would like them to handle the D.O.D., so your family will not have to worry with that step. Just ask them to contact South Central Ky Monuments and we will provide the D.O.D.

​Will I have to pay tax on my order?

​In the state if Kentucky the monument is tax free, only vases are taxed.

​How do I clean my monument?

​If you have a black granite monument, one of the best ways to clean the monument is car wash cleaner and a soft sponge. It is very important to make sure that all of the soap comes off of the monument, just like a black car if soap is left it will spot.

If you have a gray granite or marble monument; a brush, bucket of water and a cap full of bleach to a gallon of water will clean the monument.
